I have 10 years of experience working with individuals. I first started working at the school systems doing Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) to kids struggling with different diagnosis. (More on ABA later!) I also worked at an agency working with high crisis behavior such as self-injury and high magnitude aggression for children 2 to 18 years old. Later on, I got to manage two Adult Family Homes for people with developmental disabilities (autism, down syndrome, etc). I got my masters at Gonzaga University and continue to grow my experience as an intern at Frontier Behavioral Health where I got to see clients with Borderline Personality Disorder, PTSD, anxiety, depression and more. I have seen and counseled many different people with different diagnosis and various challenges. I highly enjoy working with autistic adults as well as anybody going through any life transition.

Dr. Jennie Armstrong is a Licensed Professional Counselor, who provides therapy for individuals, couples, and families. She graduated as a Doctor of Ministry in Spiritual Formation and Leadership from Portland Seminary of George Fox University. She holds a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling, with certifications in Christian Sex Therapy and Spirituality and Counseling, from Richmont Graduate University. She received a certification in Spiritual Formation with the London Cohort of the Renovaré Institute for Spiritual Formation. Jennie is a certified Facilitator for Prepare Enrich Pre-marital Counseling Program. She is certified in Christian Sex Education from the Christian Association of Sexual Educators. She graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from the University of Georgia.

Dr. Armstrong is devoted to using the tools of Christian psychotherapy, prayer ministry, and spiritual formational resources to help individuals discover a deeper relationship with God in the midst of their life struggles. She is dedicated to the continual development of excellent, individualized clinical services for her clients. Amelia Thomas is an Associate Professional Counselor (APC007724) specializing in working with women on anxiety, depression, trauma recovery, self-esteem, identity development, young adulthood transition, and relationship concerns (including unhealthy patterns and covert narcissistic abuse). Amelia is inspired by helping women recognize their worthiness through the healing of past wounds and the strengthening of their authentic selves.

Amelia also enjoys working with college aged and young adult women as they navigate the challenges that come along with burgeoning independence, changing relationships, and major life transitions.

Amelia has worked in many settings, including a non-profit serving survivors of domestic and sexual violence, an emergency housing shelter, and a University counseling center. Her professional and personal background has led her to develop a strong desire to assist individuals in healing from the profound pain that traumatic experiences can leave behind. In helping survivors free themselves from old, ineffective patterns, Amelia seeks to support them in cultivating resilience, connection, and meaning in their lives.

Amelia obtained a B.S. in Sociology from Appalachian State University and an M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University. As an APC, Amelia works under the Direction and Supervision of Mazi Robinson, MS, LPC, CPCS, NCC (LPC 006005, CPCS 1433) and Amy Robbins (LPC 3834, CPCS 83).

Born and raised in Atlanta, Amelia loves exploring the city, attending live music concerts, and cooking. She also enjoys going on outdoor adventures with her family, friends, and two rescue dogs.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I earned a Master of Arts in professional counseling, with a concentration in trauma counseling, from Richmont Graduate University (formerly Psychological Studies Institute). Additionally I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). My expertise includes trauma, a variety of mood disorders, grief, depression, anxiety, faith-based issues, relationship difficulties, and transitions. I am passionate about equipping my clients to live happier, healthier lives. This is accomplished by listening to each individual’s unique story, creating a plan to address concerns, and walking alongside the client throughout the process. Together we can address thought processes or behaviors that pose obstacles to wellbeing, equipping you for successful problem solving strategies, and improving interpersonal effectiveness.

Adam has over a decade of experience working in mental health. He specializes in working with Entrepreneurs, Pilots, and is a therapist for therapists. His friends call him “The Sex, Drugs, and Rock n Roll Therapist” because he works with sexual concerns, any type of substance or process addiction, and works with people who have amazing careers and families... on paper. He enjoys helping people not only have excellent CV’s but also utilizing those skills to have excellent families and friendships.

I am the Assistant Dean of the School of Counseling at Richmont Graduate University. I am a CSAT and work extensively with sexual identity issues, sexual addiction issues, PTSD, and anxiety disorders. I specialize in working with men within the LGBTQ+ community, men in mixed orientation marriages, and men who experienced childhood sexual abuse.
