I am a trauma therapist practicing EMDR in the Rochester, NY area, and provide telehealth in all of New York State. I live by the principle of “more curiosity, less judgement” driving empathy and understanding into my work. I aim to create a welcoming and open therapeutic space for clients to safely explore and regain their sense of self. I believe that therapy should be authentic and transparent, and I strive to partner with clients so that they may be the experts in their treatment and feel empowered. I have been a social worker in Rochester, NY for about 8 years. I first started working with adults with developmental disabilities as a behavior intervention specialist which fueled my love for psychology and understanding human behavior in our various contexts. Sarah works with the team at Tapestry Associates in Marietta square to serve women, young adults and teens and partner with them on their mental health journey.

I am passionate about working with clients of all ages to holistically support their mental health journey. My goal is to empower and support clients through processing and managing their needs academically, professionally, and personally. I utilize a feminist approach to CBT with elements of mindfulness. I also incorporate art therapy and play therapy into my treatment of adolescent and teen clients.

Deb came from a broken home as a child and was in a blended family in her teen years. She practiced as a licensed occupational therapist for 35 years, working with children in hospital, school and private practice settings. She returned to school for her master's in Marriage and Family Therapy with a specialization in Spirituality and Counseling. She and her husband, Craig, have been married for 42 years, and raised three children. They are expecting their first grandchild in June, 2022. Deb is a mixed media artist, and a lover of nature, gardening, travel and her cockapoo puppy, Henry Biscuit.

I am licensed as a Professional Counselor in Georgia. I earned a MS degree in Community Counseling in 1989 from Georgia State University, and am certificated in Christian Counseling from Richmont Graduate University. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and have completed EMDRIA-sponsored Basic Training in EMDR to help people with trauma.
